Tom Murray grew up on a farm in Aberdeenshire. Following distinguished service with the International Brigade in Spain he became a respected City Councillor in Edinburgh.
A founding member of the SCA, he was a man of courage and principle. He had a great interest in China, also in education, and so this competition is dedicated to his memory.
