About us
The Scotland-China Association E-mail
The Scotland-China Association is for people, generally based in Scotland, who have an interest in all aspects of Chinese life and civilisation, both past and present.

The Association is non-political and non-sectarian. Its members come from all walks of life and hold varying shades of opinion, but are all fascinated by a country which has a remarkable past, an exciting present and an significant future.

China's civilisation can be traced back more than 5000 years. Western travellers and scholars have delighted in its arts, literature, history and artifacts and learned from its inventions. To understand what is happening in China now and the implications for the rest of the world, it is necessary to know what went before.

The Scotland-China Association provides a forum for everyone interested in exploring China's past and assessing its future in the light of present developments.
