SCA Events - Edinburgh
The 2014-2015 programme for meetings of the Edinburgh Branch of the SCA has now been confirmed and is given below. All SCA members and friends are very welcome, and we look forward to seeing you.
Events usually take place on the second Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise stated, at The Meeting House, 7 Victoria Terrace, Edinburgh EH1 2JL. Tea & biscuits will be served from 7pm (a voluntary donation is requested) and the talk will begin at 7:30pm. Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings free of charge.

'Taiwan and Scotland - Connections and Parallels', a talk by Iain Philip. Mr Philip recently returned to Edinburgh after four years in Taiwan, where he was a Special Lecturer at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. He will be looking at past and present connections between Taiwan and Scotland and the parallels and differences between them.

'Travelling Overland through China - From Beijing to the Gobi Desert'. Fred and Rita Daniels have spent over 30 years backpacking, travelling by public transport, and taking wonderful photographs, in nearly 90 countries, including China.
Saturday 16th May 2015
Branch Annual General Meeting. The business meeting will be followed by a talk by Mure Dickie, correspondent for the Financial Times, who has previously reported for Reuters from Beijing and Tokyo. There will also be musical entertainment by the Edinburgh Chinese Choir.
The meeting will take place in The Studio at Augustine United Church, 41 George IV Bridge, EH1 1EL. The talk will be followed by a light lunch, which must be booked in advance. Further details will be given closer to the date.
